About 25 students from Sao Paulo completed an exchange programm on Informatics with the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Hagenberg. A very special event was the „Networking Reception“ with representatives from the pubic administration, the Business Upper Autria Agency and the Johannes Kepler University.
Teachers from Shandong completed some further training on “Industry 4.0” at the WIFI International in Linz/Upper Austria. Back home in Jinan they will pass their special knowledge to their 1.200 students. During the stay the teachers also visited the Government Building of Upper Austria
A delegation from UpperAustria visited the partner region WesternCape beginning of the year. Only some months later there was already thepromised return visit in Upper Austria. Both regions agreed that they want towork togehter even more closer on different fields, especially in education.
For a whole month the photo RLS-exhibition „Innovation@Upper Austria“ was shown at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta. There the exhibition was officially opened jointly by Upper Austria and Georgia as part of the Regional Leaders Conference of the seven power regions. US Ambassador Alexa Wesner opened a joint exhibition in Linz during her first official visit of Upper Austria. Afterwards the images were shown in Atlanta, in the RLS partner region Georgia and also in Washington.
